This new advanced North American formulation of Polyx®-Oil is Osmo’s best-selling hardwax-oil product. The wood finish is based on natural vegetable oils and waxes, which create an extremely durable and hardwearing finish that will not crack, flake or peel and can be spot repaired and refreshed without sanding. Polyx®-Oil is also resistant to common household liquids like coffee and soft drinks, is saliva and sweatproof, and is safe for humans, animals and plants. Apply Osmo Polyx-Oil with a natural bristle brush or lint-free cloth, working it into the wood along the grain. Spread a thin, even coat and wipe off any excess after a few minutes for a smooth, durable finish. How many coats of osmo polyx oil? For most projects, two thin coats of Osmo Polyx-Oil are ideal. The first coat penetrates and protects, while the second creates a beautiful, durable finish that resists water and wear.
