Bolivian Rosewood (Machaerium scleroxylon), also known as Morado or Santos Rosewood, is a stunning and durable hardwood prized for its rich color and natural luster. The heartwood ranges from violet-brown to deep chocolate with black streaks and subtle violet or purplish hues that darken beautifully over time. The grain is typically straight to slightly interlocked, with a fine to medium texture that polishes to an exceptional sheen. This wood is dense and stable, yet it machines, turns, and finishes extremely well. Slab measures 1-1/4″ x 11-1/2″ x 47-3/4″ and has been surfaced on both sides for immediate use.
