Candle Holder Turning Kit

Create a one-of-a-kind candle holder using this WoodRiver® turning kit; turn the perfect home accent for those special occasions. With endless possibilities of what you can create, this kit is designed to accommodate taper candles with a 7/8″-diameter base (sold separately). To create the free-form body portion, we recommend beginning with 2″ x 2″ turning stock of your desired length (sold separately). Mark centers on each end. On one end, bore a 5/32″-diameter x 7/8″-deep hole. Mount the blank between centers or use a combination of a 4-jaw lathe chuck and live center. Turn your desired profile, sand and apply a finish of your choice. Note: We found that a finished diameter of .842″ on the cup end and .781″ on the base end works well. To assemble, use the provided screws and washers to attach the cup and base to the body. It will be necessary to locate the center on the base end and bore a 5/32″-diameter x 7/8″-deep hole to attach the base. Inside the cup, install the screw cover and the felt base cover to protect your table surfaces.
