The 400 Shoulder Rebate Plane has a fine mouth for cabinetmakers doing precision work. The body is machined from quality gray iron casting, with the blade fitting snugly into the body of the plane and held in by a rosewood wedge. Adjustment of the blade is done in the traditional manner by tapping the end of the blade and locking the wedge in place. The finish is bright ground. Length: 3-1/8″. Approximate weight: 1.7 lbs.
